• Analog + Networked Cameras

  FW5870 is a versatile hybrid network video recorder that can acquire video streams from both locally hooked analog cameras and networked IP cameras. FW5870 expands its capabilities beyond ordinary analog video recorders or network only recorders by acquiring the both types of video sources. Up to 8 analog and 8 network cameras can be connected to FW5870.

• Multi-Vendor Camera Support

  FW5870 supports network cameras from various leading vendors including Axis, Panasonic, Mobotix, Arecont, IQinvision, Vivotek, and many more. This feature gives a great flexibility in configuration of surveillance system integration.

• Unified Communication Protocol

  FW5870 has Unified Communication Protocol capability, which enables all the functionalities such as live view, playback, and configuration to be managed through only one HTTP port while conventional method uses multiple ports. This proprietary technology dramatically simplifies the installation process in real-world applications.

• H.264, MPEG-4, MJPEG Video

  FW5870 can record video streams in any of H.264, MPEG-4, or MJPEG format from 16 channels simultaneously. Each individual channel video configuration can be selected independently from other channels, which means each channel can run with different frame rate, different compression, and different resolution. This gives users the maximum flexibility of utilizing the FW5870's multi-streaming feature.

• High Performance Recording

  FW5870 can record up to 120 fps for NTSC or 100 fps for PAL in D1 resolution. All of live view, record, playback, and backup functionalities can run simultaneously. In playback mode, all the four channels can be viewed at the same time. Along with video, audio and data can be recorded together. In live casting mode, all the four channels of video, audio, and data can be viewed simultaneously.

• Versatile I/O Connectivity

  FW5870 has 8 audio in, 1 audio out, 8 DI/DO, and a RS-232, and an AUX ports. It also has multiplexed 8 channel output for composite video signal. The AUX port works as either RS-232 or RS-485 and provides the compatibility with X10 device connection so that any third party's X10 compliant peripherals can be attached to the serial port and controlled through the serial port of FW5870.

  
  FW5870 has USB port on the front panel to support and work external storage up to 1.5 T Bytes. As a results video stream from 4 analog camera as well as Network cameras can be recorded on the external USB drive or HDD drive.

• CMS Compatibility

  FW5870 allows assigning different level of access permission to each video channel so that every individual's accessibility can be controlled accordingly. The multi-level permission can be applied to live cast, PTZ, DI/DO, and audio control respectively.

• Channel-Specific User Permission

  FW5870's built-in PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) device protocol supports more than 30 kinds of different vendors, which includes Pelco, Kalatel, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Honeywell, and etc. This feature applies to all the four channels respectively.
